Course Objectives

              

The Veterinary Forensic Science Bite Mark Workshop focuses on the prope techniques in forensic odontology; including proper selection and use of casting materials, impression techniques, and the use of Adobe Photoshop for image processing.

This course is designed to demonstrate the techniques for the recognition, documentation, and prevention of bite mark evidence from human skin and animal hide. Methods will also be demonstrated for the documentation of various tool marks, an proper photographic techniques. Methods will also be demonstrated for working with images in Adobe Photoshop for the enhancement of the bite mark and creation of a  1:1 comparison image, and report generation. The use and application of digital photography will also be addressed.

Class size is limited to 30 applicants!
